I see you are in Calif. I bought a 55 or 56 with no bed and with a Pencilvania
or however you spell it title. It didn't even have the year on the title and I
told them a 55. Well, I had a 50/50 chance of being right. Either a 55 or 56.
All I needed was a weight ticket to tag it and $72 dollars for the tags and
another $15 or $20 for other fees. I'd throw a major complaint to you tag office
supervisor. No law says you need a bed. I love New Mexico. My tags now costs $25
a year and historical tags are about $3 a year with a 5 year tag or some other
goofy period. And yes, being a thorn in your paw is their unofficial job
prerequisite
