Hi Joe, I have a 283 in my 51 3100 bolted to the stock 4 speed trans. The bell housing is from a V-8 truck made after they started putting V-8's in them. This bell housing is a must because of the mounting ears for the trans. mount. My crossmember was not altered, but I do not know if the mounting holes are the same. I know the whoever installed the V-8 used bolts and nuts. Hope this helps Don Short 51 3100 Barstow, CA |
