All,
It's been a while, but my new bed sides and front panel (repo), fenders
and splash aprons went to the body shop in March. I picked my shop by word
of mouth and by work he has done I have seen. (He is also the guy who paints
all of Eddie Hills drag racing equipment and cars). I am going back to black
(original color) and knew I was not good enough at bodywork for black. I got
the bed back yesterday, and it was worth the wait! The metal is straight and
smooth and the paint is beautiful. It looks about three feet deep! Next
week the front end sheetmetal goes in and last will be the cab. I am piecing
it to the body shop to spread out the expense and the shop used it as fill-in
work between large jobs. I can now get busy on the bed wood and rebuild the
entire front suspension while the sheet metal is off.
