On the subject of worn axles in 64-87 Chevy truck rearends (as used in oletrucks), Woody mentioned that you can use an "axle saver" bearing if the axle is worn out...you can, but beware that if the axle is worn more than just a little bit, you will run the danger of the axle breaking if you continue to use it. The instructions in the bearing kit are quite strict about this. So...be careful. Jim F 59s in AZ oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
