Hi Ron,
I'm really sorry about your house and truck, as I know all the guys are.
As I mentioned in a post recently, I have a car my great grandmother owned,
which I restored with my father. I think it is my most prized possession,
even though it is not particularly valuable.
I had one thought which may offer some consolation. I really hope you can
find some way to repair your grandfather's truck. But even if you can't,
you can do something that may be just as good. You can restore another
truck with your kids, and let them know why you're doing it, and about how
much your grandfather's truck meant to you.
You may not have your grandfather's truck, but you can keep his memory alive
with your kids and grandkids, and yours as well. I think the exercise of
building a new one would be great.
Regards,
Grant S.
