Roger, is this an inline GMC 6? If so the casting number is probably on the 
driver's side just above the pan rail. Also GMC inlines contain the Cu. in. 
displacement as the first 3 numbers in the engine #. That can be found onthe 
istributor mounting pad.

I need assistance with identifying this engine...I thought I had saved 
a message that directed us to a site that would identify these things 
but after searching the files I could not come up with anything. Does 
anyone have this info  if so could you send it to me??? Thanks in 
advance.
