This weekend I further dismantled my dash in my 53 3100 by dis-assembling the
grill work, glove box
door, and ashtray. I sandblasted all the pieces in preparation for new paint
which will be the same
as the exterior color. I'm interested in doing something with the grill strip
that has the
CHEVROLET lettering on it. How easy is it to re-paint in the letters by hand
without it looking
non-professional. Are there any letters/decals that fit onto this strip? I'm
not confident in my
ability to paint nice straight-edged letters by hand. My other option is just
paint it all one
color, as the depressed lettering can still be read, but it would be nice in a
contrasting color.
Anyone done this and made it come out looking real trick?
