Well, I think that I have decided for sure to transfer the existing body
etc. to a newer frame to update the 1949 chevy 3100 that I have, but I was
wondering what are some key things I need to remember to do before I start.
Does anyone know of a model that would more or less fit the best? I've been
hearing that an Chevy S-10 would work, but does that include the Suburbans
as well? I'd like to leave the new frame as intact as possible for
safety/strength so less modification is better.
I know I need to match the wheel base (length & width), but what other specs
will I need to consider to find the "perfect" donor match? How about
tolerances..how close is "fudgable"?
Thanks
