Just spent a few hours putting in new motor mounts to replace the old ones,
whose rubber had completely turned to jelly thanks to the steady rain of oil
they've gotten over the years.
But after mounting the rear ones to the engine, the holes that are supposed
to match the frame crossbar are both about an inch offset (in opposite
directions, so it's not that the motor has moved to one side or the other).
Has anybody encountered this with repro motor mounts? These came from Jim
Carter.
I'll probably just drill new holes in the mounts, but I was wondering if I'm
missing something obvious here. Most likely it's just another case of poor
quality repro parts.
