I don't have any radios in my trucks, I just rebuild them now and again for 
other people.  I have the manuals for all the Chevrolet truck radios into the 
60's which show all the different varieties and voltages (6V and 12V).  Most 
people are amazed when they find out the plate voltage is around 300VDC 
generated by a vibrator circuit.
