Bill-- It's likely that the carb is for something else...I think Buicks used Stromberg WW carbs in the 50s, and they had automatic chokes. Also, if the original Pontiac engine used that carb on a car, it would have an automatic choke. Trucks had manual chokes for many years after cars quit using them.
