Does this phosphatiing primer damage paint already there? Do you have to take the whole section down to the metal, or can you just do spot painting and still use the metal prep without disturbing adjacent factory paint? That's always been my question, because most treatments say will soften paint...so how do you prep a small area if you don't want to strip a vehicle down to the bare metal, without it touch some paint along the way?
