I've installed a variety of junkyard steering wheels from GM cars such as a
Vega GT, Citation, and Monza on my '51, in an effort to find one that has the
right look and feel and still allows visibility of the gauge cluster. All fit
the original column spline with no modification. But if you don't have power
steering, these smaller diameter wheels will make you wish you did.

Subject: [oletrucks] Steering Wheel
Will a newer or aftermarket steering wheel fit on my stock '49 3600?
What modification do I need to do if any? I understand that I need a
wheel puller....but is that all? Would it be better to just go to a new
steering column and wheel?
