I've run the VOM across all of the terminals on the regulator. There is
voltage at the battery terminal, even with the key off-don't know if this is
correct. But there was also voltage on the armature terminal also (I think
this is what was draining the battery, through the generator to ground).
Upon further inspection, I found that the regulator coil over the battery
terminal was stuck & that is what was making the circuit to the armature
terminal. The battery coil, however, wasn't really stuck, it was energized
by the battery wire voltage; it was not sticking with no battery wire
connected (this is also why I'm questioning voltage there with the key off).
A second voltage regulator acted the same way.
Anybody have any other comments?
