[oletrucks] 49 3600 Suicide Rims

I have the 8 lug rims that come standard on a 49 3/4 ton. My local service
station wont touch them. (too dangerous). I want to have the freedom of just
taking it anywhere to have new tires, repairs, etc. done. What is the best
plan of attack? Why do they think that extra 1/4 of a ton demands the need
for 2 extra lugs and a 2 piece design?
