Hi all,
Received the enclosed response from Yvonne Keller at Art Houser's Rear
End's today, regarding the New 3:90 to 1 ratio Ring and Pinion sets for the
12.25 inch drop out on our 3/4 and 1-Ton Corporate axles. We've been
working this issue for some time, and it appears we're making progress!! We
might drive "55"!!!!!!
If you're interested, PLEASE LET HER KNOW!! Set will go for approximately
$500.00.

Mr. Pennell:
The ring and pinion deal is definitely going to happen. I posted a blurb on
site under "Rears" / "Truck Stuff" and will update as information comes.
If anyone is interested, have them speak up! We had a few people ask. Once
the word spreads, the parts will fly. Supplier is unsure whether or not he
will keep an open contract with manufacturer or just have a run made and
stop there. It depends on interest. This is why I want everyone to let us
know. Supplier and we are really not making money on them - it's just a
special offer to solve your problem.
Assure your friends that we will not take money until item is available. I
would like their information to verify need and match, as well as to know
how many to order. No one is obligated until an order is confirmed.
Thanks!
Yvonne Keller

Hi Ms. Keller,
Thanks for the replies!! I just walked in the door (It's 8:20PM.. Left
at 5:00 this AM. Ugh) and I have to be back out again at 4:30. My wife
tried to relay as much info as she could, and I think I understand your
message. I'll call to be sure.
Oh yes, The 9" rear end swap is not an option, as our front axles use the
same housing and differential as the rear. We can't lose those, as they are
what makes a NAPCO, a NAPCO. The interchange question and spline swap with
the later GM corporate axles makes it a viable junkyard evolution for those
who can't afford 800.00 for parts to do both axles, and provides some
availability for limited slip differentials to be used in the rear.
The info on the Ring and Pinion sets is VERY interesting. Do need to nail
down all the details before I put out any info. I'll be in touch! and
THANKS!

Dear Mr. Pennell:
I am calling a manufacturer who reportedly will be offering better gear
ratios for your existing rear!!!
Thanks,
