if anyone has an answer to this, I'd also like to know if they can decipher
old GMC vin numbers. The fellas at GMC (and also the not too knowledgeable
folks at the GMC restoration pack number) have absolutely no idea (they
even admit to such) how to decipher old GMC vins.
my vin numbers (both 1961):
1002 CN 6509 A (1/2 ton pickup w/ 305 v6 engine)
4008 CN 6509 E (4000 truck w/ 305b(?) v6 engine)
