I've seen the metal retainer on the bottom of early TF doors, but not on later ones. I don't know when the cutoff was...but 55s have it, and 59s dont. They also changed the weatherstrip style somewhere along the way. The early doors used a thinner weatherstrip like those on cars, while the later ones used a fat round weatherstrip. Steele Rubber is the only on I know of that sells the better round one. Jim oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
