Jay: Are you clear on the advice you got? I think that Doug cleared things up. Your inside door handles should pull to open the doors (both sides), and push down a click to lock. Outside door handles pull down to open doors. The only key hole should be on the passenger side door. Sounds to me like someone reversed the setup on your passenger side door mechanism.
