Well guys and girls, I tried to start a new adage: Measure Zero-Cut Once,
but much to my surprise it didn't work. I now have two brand new Centerline
Convo Pro 15X7, 5 on 4 3/4" bolt circle wheels that I can't use and need to
sell. I paid about $312 and would like to get at least $250 for them, and I
will pay the shipping. The company I bought them from refuses to take them
back since I'm 2 weeks past their 90 day return policy. If anyone is
interested please ping me off the list and I am located in the Houston, Tx.
area.
The story behind my stupidity is that I was totally concerned with the fit
of the rear wheels and tires and just took it for granted that anything in
the front would work. WRONG!!! I measured the rear about a dozen times
before I bought them and they fit fine. The front 235-70-15 tires sit very
close to the outside of the fenders that would only allow an inch or two of
travel without hitting the fenders (I have a 1979 Nova subframe installed).
I am going to go with 15X6 wheels and smaller tires.
Boy, I'm still amazed at how stupid I am.
