Hi,
Is it possible to tell if a 235 is a dipper luber or a full pressure luber if
it doesn't run and it's in a GMC which has the 60 PSI oil pressure guage
without looking at the engine numbers behind the distributor? I found another
old GMC for cheap, but I don't want to haul it home if it's got a dipper in
it (no offense to you dipper owners).
Also, how can I tell if a floor shift tranny is a 3 or 4-spd if the shifter
won't move? I know all 3-speed's were column shift after 47, but the seller
swears this truck has a 3-speed in it and this truck has parts in it from
everything.By the way the truck is a '48.
It's late right now, so I'm hoping this makes sense. let me know if you have
a solution to either my pressure lube riddle or my floor shift puzzle.
Dustin
