<< I have a little front-to-rear wobble in my harmonic balancer (about 1/4 inch) >> The belt usually keeps the balancer from hitting radiator. I've seen these get quite loose, so they fall off when the belt is removed. Time to hunt down a good balancer. Crankshaft is usually not damaged.
