Dave:
My $0.02...This is a great idea, but may require a serious problem with
human resources. As people buy, sell, swap, etc., the swapmeet type list
will have to be updated on a daily basis. I can't speak for the
administrators of this list, but would imagine that it would require
extensive amounts of attention and huge amounts of maintenance time.
I think that list posts are adequate. If list members should desire to
trade, they should clearly post the appropriate information such as their
contact info (name and/or phone number), description of the item (year,
model, part number), price, and negotiated or preferred method of transfer
(shipping).

I'm sure I'm not the first to thing about this, but I haven't seen any
discussion on the list about setting up some on-line clearinghouse for
parts
that different list members have to trade or sell. Has the idea been
proposed or tried before and rejected? I'm starting to accumulate some
spare parts (bumpers, wiper motors, things like that) that I'd like to swap
with members for some things that I might need. Is there anyway to do it
through the Oletrucks list or some related website?
