<< Has anyone seen an AD 1-Ton with dual rear wheels tucked under the rear of a conventional bed? >> The factory only put single wheels under a fender in the AD years. 46 and older had big fenders for the 1-1/2 ton pickup with duals. So if you wanted dual wheels on an AD you had to get a flat bed or stake body. Interestingly, the factory ID plate gave all the AD one tons an 8800 lb rating, which was only valid if it had dual rear wheels, which only a small percentage had.
