Hello again.
The Green Behemoth is driving me crazy! For the last two months
when it gets over 90 degrees it stops getting gas to the carb. I
thought the obvious answer was vapor lock. Changed all tubing to
rubber hose.
Wrong! Still no gas to carb. If I would just sit and let it cool
off it would start again and usually go the rest of the way. So
checked the filter (a little red but not bad). Must be the fuel pump
getting weak, I thought. Changed that.
Wrong! Did good for two weeks but it wasn't very hot here. Got up
in the 90's this week and guess what? Yep, no gas to carb! Took the
filter off again and got a handfull of junk this time. So I put a new
filter on, drove about ten miles and it died again!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there anything this could be other than junk in the tank? The
part that really confuses me is what the hot weather has to do with it!
If anyone agrees that it is the tank, what can I do to clean it
really good or where can I get a new one on a tight budget?
Thanks for any and all help/info.
