The rear I just put into my '48 (from a '62 1/2 ton) is leaking, but from an unusual place. It leaks at the base of the large nut that holds the yoke to the pinion shaft. Has anyone else experienced this and how do you fix it? Pinion seal is new and does not leak, only at the base of the nut.
