Thanks for the quick responses to my previous question on the low oil
pressure and the accompanying noise. After reading the messages, I went
back out and looked the situation over again.
The pressure starts out low, and only increases when I give it a lot of gas
and hold the accelerator down. The noise is not a knocking or clicking
sound, but more of a rapid "hissing" sound (if that makes any sense). The
motor has recently been completely rebuilt, and only after my first
post-rebuild oil change did I see any problem with oil pressure. And then
only today did it start making this sound, and up until it started this
noise, the pressure has held a lot better, even though not ah high as before
the oil change.
