It kinda depends on 1. if you have the older fiber type gear & 2. if you do
have the fiber gear, how you can get a hold of the hub of the gear near the
camshaft (otherwise you'll just destroy the fiber, pulling it clean of the
gears metal hub).  If you have an aluminum camshaft gear you may be able to
pull it off with the puller jaws around the outside edge of the gear, but
I'd still be leery of it for risk of bending the gear or marring the teeth.
