I saw your email on the stove bolt website, and was hoping that you could
help... I am the recent owner of a 1955 Chevy 6100... the truck has a 2ton
chassis with a 7yd mason dump body..2 speed rear with a four speed
trans....PTO hydraulic pump for the dump....
The cab of the truck is in good shape, body mounts have deteriorated, and
the floor is shot...some of the panels don't alight, but she runs like a
top...not much rust anywhere else...Truck is in service as a personal work
truck, and will become a resto in the next year and a half.
what can you tell me about it....I have only seen one other 50's vintage
medium duty truck here in the NJ/NY/CT area...Did it originally come with
the mason body? I have seen them with flatbed mostly....Any info would be
appreciated.....
Thanks in advance...
