Hi Scott,
I've put power steering on a '54 and it is pretty easy. I got a kit from
Classic
Performance, a junk yard power steering sector from a '73 Chevy pickup ($40.00)
and a mount from Classic Truck Shop (www.classictruckshop.com). A few other
pieces here and there and it bolts on after drilling a cople holes and
remounting
the shocks. There are different kits since your frame is different but its
pretty much bolt on. I think No Limit has a new kit that adapts right to the
existing steering column so there's no need to upgrade your steering column.
