I have seen folks do this and it does make quiet a difference in the
stance of the truck. If you count the longest leaf, which is one attached
to the truck as 1, You will need to keep the 2cd one to keep the
first one from developing a bow in it. I've seen folks remove the 3rd,
5th or in other words every other one. On the rear, removing leafs
will change the load wieght, but as myself, I don't use my restored
truck to haul stuff, that is why I have my longbed 56.....Its original
as all get out, but has been just a total work truck for 30 some odd years.
Your ride will be a little bouncier but if ya make sure ya got good
shocks, it wont be that noticable. This i've seen will lower trucks about
1.5  to 2 inches, and that does make quiet a bit of visual difference.
