Hello Lonnie and all,

I'm working on the front end off my '58 because the steering became hard to
do, now i'm waiting on parts that I orderd in the US with the company
LMC-Truck they are in Kansas near Kansas City, but it will last almost two
weeks before the parts are in Holland.
This is the hard part off restoring a truck waiting for parts, and Í'm
allways take everything apart before ordering because I must now if there
are any other parts broken, it will cost allmost $200,- just to sent the
parts over.
I agree with you Lonnie a press is the tool, to do the work on kingpins it
require the front axle removed from the truck but it's worth it because I
think you smashed the hole front if you remove the kingpins using a hammer.
Maybe if the kingpins are lubricated very well and the steering is going
very smooth then they could be removed by tapping it with a hammer, but who
wants to remove good kingpins?

I just passed my mind to take some photo's from the work to put on my
homepage I do it this weekend.

Peter '58 3100 with a smooth running 454 Ci
Just look at it on
