Check the bolt that joins the upper cluch pedal to the lower. It sounds
like the upper arm is misaligned and is binding on the hole in the floor.
This happened to me 'out of the blue'. In my case, I had to raise the pedal
slightly to get it to line up correctly through the whole arc of pedal
travel.
