Tyler,
As many have already said, your Dad is right on this one. Get your truck
up and running, get the basics of wrenching down first then start making
the big changes. All of us had to walk before we could run. Another way
to look at it is that it is real easy to lose interest in a project vehicle
that just sits in the garage needing lots of work before it can run as
apposed to one that you can make small to medium size modifications to and
be on the road with it in a few hours or days.
