I put that last message in my draft box while I went to verify the
article, and it got gone. Hope you didn't get it. The real gouge is that
www.truckworld.com has a tech section, ALSO with a three part article on
rebuilding an inline six. That one is a 70' model truck, but the end all is
that the owner scraps a 250 and puts a 292 in it. The troubles he ran into
are well documented with pictures and solutions. Should be very similar
with your 51'. Great information regardless. The offset motor mount is
mentioned there, along with exhaust problems and what not. It's a good
read. Hope it helps you.
