I was in a similar fix. My wife's bday is in a couple of days. I finally
took a short poll of my
friends. I kept very accurate records. I asked:

"Should I give my wife a supercharger for the truck."
      --- or ---
"Should I give her dancing lessons? And (gulp) go with her?"

My statistical results were very clear.
Every female frowned at me and said "dance lessons!", and some
unprintable comments.
Every MALE immediately said "supercharger" as though there were ONLY one
answer.
There seemed to be a trend in the results. After reviewing th results of the
poll AND on the
advise of my doctor I purchased the dance lessons.

See if you can make it sound like HER idea! An easier approach would be to
play the "rare
and valuable" angle! I would like an old SUB but there is a "Clear and
Present Danger" if
you take the wrong path. Where are these gems? They sound like a diamond in
the rough.

Lonnie
Hey! There are a couple female Ole truckers on this list. Did I make the
right decision?
What would you answer in the poll?
