I'm one of the loyal Obsolete Customers - great service and reasonable
prices.
I too am about to make the bed wood decision. I see that one vendor (I think
it was Truck Shop) offers "Apitong" wood that is supposed to be what is used
in commercial trucks. I looked it up on some web sites and appears to be a
good alternative thougth not original (original is black anyway and most
people finish the wood a lot nicer). Anyone used "Apitong"?
Thanks,

Basically the consensus seems to be that they are bigger than their britches
and have lost their willingness to put their customer first (plus they seem
to be priced higher than just about everyone else). Obsolete seems to have
a good (loyal) following, but I don't know them personally. I have used
Chevy Duty for just about ALL of my several thousand $ of purchases, and
would recommend them gladly. I have also used Jim Carter and was very
pleased. Jim Carter is on the group and I think will send a catalog at no
cost. Chevy Duty's phone number (from memory no less), is (816) 741-8029,
and they have a web site (http://www.chevyduty.com) where you can request a
catalog.
Hope this helps,
Rob
