A buddy of mine has started a full blown, frame off restoration on his
55 1st series, and since he currently is without a computer, has asked
me to ask the list for help finding the following items:
This truck came from the factory with a "Hydramatic" transmission. He is
looking for any manuals/info on this type of tranny, plus was wondering
if there was a different owners manual for trucks with the Hydramatic.
Does anyone know where to find the clear plastic "gear indicator" (the
plastic piece that sits on top of the steering column with P, N, R, 1, 2
& 3, where you can see what gear you are in); if so, please help. We
can't seem to find one in any catalog, and have had no luck at any of
our local salvage yards.
If anyone can help with either of these items, please let me know.
