The Glove Box lock if locked will have he key slot in the vertical position.
If the key slot is horizontal it should be unlocked. I would suggest that
before you try anything else you spray some WD40 or equivalent into the lock
and start working the button in and out as it may just be a case of the lock
being stiff and dirty. If this doesn't work cut a hole through the bottom
of the glove box (cardboard) then reach in and release the latch. In most
cases the locks on the glove box were never used and left unlocked. If you
have the keys for the truck one of them should unlock or lock the lock,
again use the WD40 or equivalent.
