I don't know about price or availability, but the Warn transfer case behind a
turbo 400 in the Jeep pickups, Cherokees, and Wagoneers of 75-76 (I'm not sure
how many other years) vintage is a
hard combination to beat. The transmission case that the Jeep uses is a
special one that bolts up to an AMC v-8, but I understand that the standard
turbo 400 case will bolt up to the transfer case; just remove the tail housing
and use the tail shaft from the Jeep.
