If you remove the seat riser (yes, it is welded in place) you will have a bad case of sagging floor. It is a structural member of the cab. A friend removed his with an air chisel before he installed bucket seats, then had to reinforce the cab from the bottom to restore the rigidity he lost by removing the seat riser. BTW your picture came out as garbage, at least on my reader. Jack / Winter Park FL oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
