My boss had a set of leaf springs re-arched about 5 years ago at a shop in
Tucson, AZ. They offered a set of Teflon strips to place between the
leafs. They were another $20 or $30, but they were full length so they
wouldn't walk out from between. I would bet that you could still get
these. I noticed a little better ride (although a C-70 wasn't a Cadillac
to begin with), but it was the less noise that I really noticed (1985 C-70
Chevy). This might help on our sized trucks.

leaves at the ends. This allows the ends of the leaf springs to flex
without the friction between the metal leaves trying to hold it in place.
He had a 1963 3/4 ton Chevy at the time and it make all the difference in
the world as far as ride goes. Look at a late model F*&d SUV leaf and you
will see that they use "separators" between the units. This apparently
allows the spring to "glide" as it flexes. Thanks and good luck...Bob
