I am using an E-brok carb on an E-brok Preformer intake.
I had lots of troubles untill I put a pressure regulator on the
fuel line. The carb says that pressure must not be greater
than 6 pounds I had been runing 9 pounds. I even blew a
gasket before I backed the fuel pressure down. Now it runs
pretty good and the fuel smell is gone. I may even reduce the
pressure to 5.5 pounds. I recommend an adjustable regulator
AND check the ignition. It doesn't seem to be holding enough
fire under load.
