I know many of you out there have changed out the steering columns with a tilt
unit or gone from column to floor shift, but I want to do the opposite. I am
getting rid of the 4-speed granny trans (closed driveshaft) and going to a
three speed and open driveshaft soon. Eventually I want a three speed
w/overdrive. What I need to know is can my steering column be converted from
4 speed floor shift (no linkage) to three speed column type or will I have to
swap out the entire column for a three speed type. If I must change out the
column, does anyone have a three speed column shift unit laying around in back
of the garage or barn? What are they worth? Thanks.
