Actually you hold one wheel turn the opposite 2 turns while driveshaft
counting revolutions.
It sounds like you ratio is probably 2.56: 1. I know this ratio exists
because it's in
my mom's 70 cutlass.

I heard of another method: tape a string to the driveshaft, roll the
vehicle forward one revolution of the tire ( both tires ), then count the
number of wraps the string makes around the driveshaft. that
number to 1 , ie 3.5 to 1. Let me guess 78 El Camino - 3.08:1 or 2:73:1
