My mother bought me that book by Seitz on classic american pickups -
the one with the red 54 3600 on the front - do ya'll know it?
I couldn't believe the mistakes:
1.) chevrolet 6 cylinder V8 was listed as the engine for several
models
2.) 6 cylinder 232 for a 53 3100 and he titles the page as a 3600 yet
starts the copy calling it a 1/2 ton
3.) the cover truck is a 3600, it says 3600 on the hood, the author
starts the copy for that truck as a 3/4 ton yet the page title says -
1954 Chev 3100
4.) 59 chevy motor listed as an optional 348
And these mistakes were just in the chevy section which is all I
know.
The only useful thing about this book is that it has a few good shots
of the 58/59 fleetside lower quarters which I can compare to the
58 suburban quarters.
Plus the photography is great.
I just thought these mistakes were amazingly obvious - 6 cylinder
V8?!?
