Not sure why this event is causing so much contention.  I entered my Daimler 
last year (which is a nice driver and definitely not a trailer queen) and 
won second in class.  My only complaint was it was too hot.  I thought they 
had a great mixture of cars and everyone was friendly and eager to talk 
cars.  For a first time out it was a great event.  If you don't want to pay 
the entry fee (and if Hospice isn't on your list of charities) then 
volunteer.  I did this year and I can't wait.
