I'm a "member" of the North Bay British... ('72 red TR-6) -- and also on the
Concours board. So, you can imagine, I'm finding some of the e mail traffic
interesting. A couple things surprise me, like "it's too expensive". I
think last year's gate was something like $15; surely that's not too much.
Regarding the "snob" factor, I guess I think if you have an appreciation for
fine autos, as most of us do (British, or otherwise), this is one gathering
that offers some old, some restored, others not; some pieces of art (so they
aren't driven, so what), others with no appeal, etc. Without being too
obnoxious I hope, I guess I'd like to suggest that some lighted up and smell
the car polish and enjoy the varieties of life. OK, now that's off my
chest.
