Sorry I won't be able to make this one. The Jag will be down for awhile getting
a serious brake system upgrade. The?downhill stretch of our last?tour was Mr.
Toad's Wild Ride for me, so it's new rotors and four-pot calipers all around.
Am shopping UK sources Zeus, Cooper Craft, Guy Broad, and SNG Barrett for
upgrade kits. Anyone on the list have any experience?in this regard???The MG
has a leaky wheel cylinder and an exhaust leak at the junction of the exhaust
manifold and downpipe. Stripped threads on one of the studs, I?suspect. Also
needs the brakes (drums - fancy that) adjusted.??Immobility is the price of
deferred maintenance...
Another suggested alternate meeting place: There's a large?shopping?center on
the north side of Airport Boulevard just over the freeway, at the?entrace to
the Airport Business Park. It'll be on your right (first signal?)?as you go
west on Airport. If you've ever been to the Airport Cinemas you know where I
mean. There's at least one fast-food place there, and a very good full-service
restaurant tucked back in the southeast corner of the property that's open
early for breakfast and has a complete bakery counter and coffee service, plus
real restrooms. There's plenty of?parking, much of it shaded, and?several?areas
that offer trees or other good backgrounds for photos.
??
Q: Why?would anyone own an old British sports car? A: Because the car needs you.
Have a?fun?tour.
