"It's not a 'race' but maybe as a 'special touristic event'interesting
for the european members of the list:
In june/july 2000 the 'Club of Ancient Automobiles & Rallies' is going
with a group of classic cars from germany to southafrica (capetown,
johannisburg, durban, gardenroute) to experience the nicest spots down
there. The cars are shipped too and back. The number of participants is
limited to 50 cars.
The information in english language should soon be available in the net.
Meanwhile you may show your interest in this trip by sending a short
message to 'caar-d@t-online.de' for more information.
CAAR has experience in long-distance-runs with classic cars since 1984
(paris-moscou-paris, route 66, northcape, paris-peking etc.)
